Sharon Yeung Opinionated
The first time I saw Pan Pan was in "The Young Wanderer."
She was pretty much the only tragic character (don't want to
give away the story) in this light-hearted series. Although
her role wasn't a main, she left quite an impression on me as
a Japanese martial arts lady.
For some unknown reason, it took me years to recognize her
as the same person who played Yeung Hong's wife in "The
Legend of the Condor Heroes." My mother remarked that she
was a handsome woman, meaning she had memorable facial features.
With my friend Ching Ching's help, I decided to recreate some
of Pan Pan's memories. I may not be her biggest fan, but I would
certainly like to say thanks to her for her touch in the 80's
TV series. The pictures I have of her are so limited because
my magazines aren't "old" enough, but I really like
the fact that each of her pose in costume pictures defines grace
and elegance that only she has, as a real martial artist.
- What Ching Ching says about Sharon -
Despite what other people think, Sharon did receive main roles.
For Gai Nai, she received one main character role in an ancient
series. For TVB, she received various split lead roles and was
main character once in a modern series. For ATV, she was the
lead for the one series she acted for them.
Other than acting, Sharon loves to do high-risk stunts. In
the 80s, Sharon is always expected to perform a crazy stunt
for TVB's annual celebration. In the late 90s, Sharon performed
for the Tung Wah Charity Show at the age of 40 plus. In 2001,
she announced that she would not perform anymore for Tung Wah
because she was getting too old and she had to be responsible
to her daughter.
