Although Miss Hong Kong Pageant winner-turned-actresses get
not-so-favorable rep these days, back in the 80's and early
90's, the pageant produced many would-be-famous actresses. Some
names include Maggie Cheung Man Yuk, Shallin Tse Ling, Amy Kwok
Oi Ming, Ada Choi Siu Fun, and of course, incredibly talented
Barbara Yung who failed to place in the top 3 due to her short
height.
The 1990 Miss HK Pageant produced two particularly memorable
actresses, Anita Yuen Wing Yee (1st place) and Noel Leung Siu
Bing (2nd place). Noel went ahead and made her mark in various
TV series with her versatility, while Anita ventured into the
movies.
This gallery is dedicated to those two ladies, plus the 3rd
place winner, Helen Yung Han Lan (I have no idea who or where
she is).
