"The Turbulent Decade" was one of the largest TVB productions in the year of 1986, featuring many big stars and/or 'would-be' stars of that time period. The plot centered around a group of high school friends who would be expanding on their lives particularly in terms of love in the span of ten years. Hence, the actors were required to portray a broad range of acting as high school kids into adulthood. It ran 60 episodes long, which marks it one of the longest running series in the 80's.

I kinda think the knee-high socks & bell-bottoms in this series are cool.

To clear up some confusion, here is how the coupling system worked in the series.

• Eddie Cheung initially dated Carina in high school, but he slept with Jamie one night. Later on, he married Margie Tsang.



• Jamie Chic dated Alex To at first but things happened with Eddie Cheung and so forth. She married Sek Sau.



• Sek Sau married Jamie Chic but he was a bad man and cheated on his wife with Carina Lau.



• Eddie Kwan married Kiki Seung.



• Bobby Au Yeung had a crush on Carina before but in the end, he married a lawyer (played by Carrie Choi Ka Lei -- she only appeared for a few minutes in the ending scene).



• Dicky Cheung married some girl.

This is one of many series where Eddie Cheung & Margie Tsang starred together. Their other series include: Lung Ting Tsang Pa, The Saga of the Lost Kingdom, The Black Sabre, and Everybody Loves Somebody.
