Cheung Sam Long is the former nobility of the fallen Chun dynasty that predated the Sui Dynasty. He is very righteous and intelligent, and always envisions relieving people from their sufferering under the current ruler. He possesses high kung fu and is well-respected by his friends, although he has quite a few enemies as well.

He has a pretty good sense of humor and is warm-hearted, evident by the way he treats Lee Seung Yee like his own kin. His love interest is Yeung Lan Ling, a princess from the Sui Dynasty. But things don't always work out between them. He is also good friends with Chun Wei Leung, a former princess of the Chun Dynasty, and Chun Suk Ming, her brother.
